CSU’s General Catalog includes course descriptions with prerequisite information, college and program descriptions, contact information for departments, information about transfer and test credit, and much more.

 Transferring Credits

If you are not a CSU degree-seeking student and are taking CSU courses to transfer credits to your home institution, these steps will help you plan ahead:

  1. Be sure the CSU credits will be accepted for transfer by working with the institution where you are enrolled or plan to enroll.
  2. For course descriptions and prerequisites, consult the CSU General Catalog.
  3. If a CSU course requires a prerequisite not completed at CSU, you will need an override to register.

Work with the department offering the course for questions about overrides, documentation and other course questions. Department contact information is available in the CSU General Catalog; use the “College and Programs” navigation menu.

Summer course availability in Canvas

Summer courses will be available in Canvas the day the class starts at latest. (Online courses may be available a few days before the class start date).

Courses synchronize roughly three times per day at 7 a.m., 1 p.m., and 5 p.m.

  • If access is granted to a class at 10:00 a.m., it will become available at around 1 p.m.

CSU’s course management software is Canvas, for both online and face-to-face classes. Students and instructors can interact with materials, discussion boards, assignments, tests, grades, and more.

What are the technology requirements for courses?

  • Canvas requires online access.
  • Specific classes may have additional software and system requirements.
  • Contact the instructor or department offering the class for details.

Final Exams, Grades and Transcripts

Final Exams

  • All final exams will be given within the scheduled time of the specific class.
  • Generally, final exams are given on the last day of class.
  • The exam dates are available through the course information on Canvas, usually in the syllabus.

Grades

You may access RAMweb to view your grades.

  • All grades for courses taken during the summer terms (four-, eight-, 12-week terms, and varying-length terms) must be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m. the Tuesday after the conclusion of the summer session. Grades are due Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
  • Grades will be available in RAMweb on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

Instructors have the option to submit grades for courses completed earlier in the summer session at the end of the term in which the course was offered. Grades submitted earlier than the end-of-summer deadline are processed each Thursday evening throughout summer session. These grades will be available the next morning on transcripts and in RAMweb (Menu > Records > Grades).

Transcripts

  • Before ordering your official transcripts, check your unofficial transcript on RAMweb or RAMrecords (Alumni and former students) to be sure your grades and/or degree conferral are listed.
  • Official transcripts cannot be released if your account has financial holds.
  • Official transcripts may be ordered online, in-person, or by mail.
